At Merchant Payments Ecosystem 2023, the FF News team caught up with Michalis Michaelides, Director of Sales & Business Development at BPC Banking Technologies. BPC Banking Technologies provide a banking, payments and commerce platform that enables organisations across 100 countries to take advantage of real-time transactions.

“One of the things that we are observing, and we come from having a bit more global exposure than other players. We see the open banking trend becoming quite global. So this is not about Europe or the UK or some of the more mature markets that are emerging such as Australia and other places.”

“We see this as a more global phenomenon and we see a lot of countries actually trying to create a domestic open banking ecosystem of their own as a way to foster development initiatives for the new ecosystem in their own country”
