SWIFT’s Innes Macleod on Discover, InnoTribe and the Future of Finance at Sibos 2025

In this exclusive FF News interview, we spoke with Innes Macleod from SWIFT to hear what’s in store for Sibos 2025 in Frankfurt, one of the largest banking and payments events in the world. Expected to attract over 10,000 attendees including the largest banks and financial institutions globally, SWIFT will create a truly unique experience combining innovation with real world impact.

At the heart of this year’s event is Discover, a dedicated fintech stream with 85–100 visionary companies, and the much anticipated return of the even more visionary InnoTribe stage. Innes hinted about the launch of a brand new AI Pavilion, designed specifically to highlight some of the transformative AI use cases that are surfacing within the financial services industry.

InnoTribe will once again challenge conventional thinking with future focused content including high energy debates like “Contrarian Views,” and additional sessions that will discuss AI, quantum computing and the social implications of emerging technologies.

Sibos has always been the place where global financial leaders come together, however as Innes explained, the 2025 edition is more about asking better questions and hypothesizing what finance might be in 20 years from now.
