At Fintech Meetup 2023, the FFNews team sat down with Myles Stephenson, Founder & Chief Executive of Modulr. Modulr enables any software platform to become a payments business by providing regulatory permissions, payment network access, and a scalable platform (to their clients?).

“We’re focused very much on embedded payments and enabling our clients to choose what they want to do and focusing on particular industry verticals to solve specific problems. That’s how we differentiate ourselves. Delivering at scale 24/7, in real time, to a very high standard from a compliance point of view and taking that into specific verticals.”

“It’s still early, and we think of it as creating a new category, so there’s a lot of market education, partner education, and client education. Clients like Sage are using us for their payroll and accounts payable. There’s a much longer list of payroll platforms and travel platforms that link into online travel agents for payments that are using us.”
