AmTrust and Mulberry Announce Partnership to Expand Affordable Product Protection

Mulberry, the consumer-first product protection company that offers protection plans through retail brand partnerships and a free direct-to-consumer browser extension, and AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a leading underwriter of extended service, accidental damage, and loss/theft plans in the consumer goods industry, today announced a partnership to bring product protection and insurance plans to consumers across the globe.

Mulberry offers free and affordable product protection plans through its Google Chrome browser extension and partners with retailers such as Hayneedle, Allswell, Mirror, and Breville to embed protection plan offers throughout the ecommerce customer lifecycle. Mulberry’s in-house underwriting practice established March 2020, Mulberry Shield, enables bespoke protection offerings and an enhanced customer experience for Mulberry partners and end consumers alike. AmTrust will insure Mulberry Shield plans across all 50 United States, DC, and Canada. This partnership allows for continued expansion of protection offerings internationally, including to the UK and EU, as well as new consumer goods categories.

“AmTrust and Mulberry partnered to empower customers in making the best decisions to protect their purchases,” said Bruce Saulnier, President, AmTrust Warranty and Specialty Risk. “Our two companies are in an excellent position to collaborate with retailers to implement this modern, customer-centric approach.”

“We’re excited to partner with AmTrust to bring people-first protection to more shoppers,” said Mulberry CEO and co-founder Chinedu Eleanya. “AmTrust’s reputation, scale, and expertise will enable us to realize this mission and allow consumers everywhere to have peace of mind wherever they shop with Mulberry.”
