Gigs Appoints Former Adyen Executive Edgar Verschuur to Scale Connectivity Globally
Gigs, the leader in embedded connectivity, today announced the appointment of Edgar Verschuur as Head of Connectivity. Edgar, formerly Adyen’s Global Head of Payments, joins to lead a strategic expansion into local consumer plans, global roaming, and enterprise connectivity. His arrival marks a decisive shift as Gigs scales up its infrastructure globally to meet the needs of the most demanding enterprises.
“Edgar built the acquiring foundations of the Adyen platform – trusted by giants like eBay, Meta, and Microsoft – which processes over a trillion dollars in payments volume. He was at the bedrock of those achievements, securing and integrating acquiring licenses all over the world”, said Hermann Frank, co-founder and CEO of Gigs. “His experience in building and scaling mission-critical infrastructure will be instrumental as we partner with the world’s top carriers to launch entirely new product lines for our customers.”
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment: telecom is at the cusp of a radical distribution shift as enterprises move to own the full customer experience, including connectivity. Gigs is the connecting tissue between network carriers and the modern, API-driven digital economy, redefining what distribution of mobile plans looks like globally. Gigs powers embedded connectivity products for globally renown enterprises including Revolut, Nubank, NETGEAR, and OnePay.
Gigs is doubling down on its presence in the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom while also touching down in Latin America. Central to this expansion is the deepening of Tier-1 carrier relationships.
“We are already partnering with the world’s best networks, including AT&T and Vodafone, and will accelerate our investments in connectivity for key markets”, said Edgar. “We are building to ensure global enterprises can deploy connectivity with the same reliability, convenience and speed as a cloud service.”
