Moonfare Expands Investment Team With London Hire
Moonfare London has announced the addition of a new member to its investment team in the UK capital. The action demonstrates Moonfare’s commitment to developing its workforce and expanding its footprint in important financial markets. Moonfare has hired Karran Kent as Senior Associate, expanding both its investment team and its London footprint.
Karran joins from advisory and restructuring-focused investment bank Houlihan Lokey, Inc. There, as Senior Associate in secondaries, he worked on origination and execution of GP -led secondary transactions.
Karran will begin the role on 1 July and be based in the firm’s London office, where he will play an integral role across its investment activities, including fund investments, secondaries, co-investments, and direct deals. The addition of Moonfare London expands the firm’s portfolio of alternative investments and global strategy.
CIO Sanjay Gupta said, “We’re excited to add Karran’s expertise as we grow our team. His experience in secondaries will be particularly valuable as we continue developing this part of our business.”
Secondaries are increasingly important to Moonfare’s investor base, and for the open-ended funds increasingly sought by those with smaller investment pots.
Before Houlihan Lokey, Karran worked in secondaries at Credit Suisse, and prior to that began his career in private markets at PJT Park Hill.
This Moonfare London hire helps the company expand its operations and solidify its position as a leading global fintech investment company.
